Dem Paracelsus ist der Titel des Exponats geschuldet. Er hat legendäre Heilungserfolge, schon damals – im 16. Jahrhundert – macht er sich andere Ärzte und Apotheker zum Feind. Paracelsus erhebt neben dem „Befund“ die „Betrachtung des Grossen und Ganzen“ zur unbedingten Notwendigkeit. Er hinterlässt uns wichtige Vermächtnisse: „Alle Wiesen und Matten, Berge und Hügel, die sind Herrgott’s Apotheke“ und „Die Natur ist auch Arzt, Apotheke und Arznei….“ Und von Paraclsus lernen wir, dass uns Sonne, Salz und Wasser – bei Überdosierung – schaden können!

The title of this exhibit is due to Paracelsus. He owns legendary healing successes – back in that time in the 16th century – he made enemies with doctors and pharmacists. Paracelsus stresses that when mentioning a result, the look at the big picture is an absolute must. For us he leaves big legacies behind: “All the fields and meadows, all the mountains and hills – these are god’s pharmacy” and “Nature is doctor, pharmacy and medicine as well…” Furthermore we learn from Paracelsus that sun, salt and water – in an overdose – can harm us.
