Lindengalle

Willem N. Ellis hat mir dazu geschrieben: "And the galls are so-called nail galls. According to the books then it depends on the lime species which gall organism is reponsible: Tilia tomentosa => Eriophyes tomentosaeT. platyphyllos => E. tiliae; T. cordata => E. lateannulatus; T. x europa => E. lateannulatus & E. .tiliae but recent publications suggest that some of these names are synonyms. I am awaiting a paper on this subject from the library. The galls on your picture agree most with the traditional tiliae."
