Nordafrikanische Prachtlibelle

(from Boudot & al. 2009:19): Calopteryx exul is endemic to the northern Maghreb and has undergone a strong decline. In Algeria it was rediscovered in 2007, nearly a century after its last record.
Die Nordafrikanische Prachtlibelle, Calopteryx exul Selys 1853, ist ein nordafrikanischer Endemit (Marokko, Algerien, Tunesien), der immer mehr in Bedrängnis gerät, da ihm die Lebensgrundlage entzogen wird durch Wasserverschmutzung und Wassernutzung. Nach Boudot (2008) kommt die Art von Marokko bis Tunesien entlang dem Atlas-Gebirge bis in Höhen um 2.000 Meter an Fliessgewässern vor. Rund die Hälfte der klassischen Fundstellen sind ausgetrocknet, zerstört oder verdreckt. Garcia & al. (2010) zeigen ein wunderschönes Biotopfoto von J.-P. Boudot. Outomuro & al.
