Reinhard Mey besingt mit seinem Lied „Ankomme Freitag den 13ten…“ die Wirkung eines Telegramms auf den Empfänger. Sein Telegramm ist im schnoddrigen Stil der damaligen „telegraphischen Depeschen“ und heutigen „SMS“ abgefasst. Dieses Exponat soll allerdings die kleinen „Kunstwerke“ im Telegrammstil präsentieren – die verklärte Welt von familiären Beziehungen, historische Abbildungen, Kunstdrucke auf Seide, aber auch genaue Beobachtung von Land und Leuten. In unserer schnelllebigen Zeit haben Telegramme kaum mehr Platz, der Service wurde von den Postverwaltungen meist eingestellt – eigentlich schade!

Reinhard Mey – in his song „Ankomme Freitag  den 13th“ (incoming friday 13th) – praises the effects of a telegram to the recipient. His telegram is written in brash style in the at that time „telegraphic depatch“ and today’s SMS. This exhibit ought to present the small „artworks“ in telegram style. The glorified world of familial relationships, historic images, art prints onto silk, but also exact observance of the country and its people. During our fast-moving time telegram hardly have a place, this service has mostly been stopped by the postal administrations – too bad actually!
