Sibirische Winterlibelle

(from Boudot & al. 2009:39): The former occurence of Sympecma paedisca in France, where it is classified as extinct due to proven habitat destruction. No other records are available for this country.The species has become extinct in several localities in its central European range, but is still present in northern Italy.

Die Sibirische Winterlibelle, Sympecma paedisca (Brauer 1877), kommt von Oberitalien über Osteuropa bis Asien vor. Kosterin & al. (2001) melden sie aus Sibirien östlich des Ob. Sie kommt dort in Massen vor, oft bis zu 10 Kilometer von den Gewässern entfernt. In Kirgisistan (Schröter 2010) ist sie in den nördlichen Landesteilen häufiger als im Süden. Sie überwintert als Imago. Schmid (2012) berichtet über Fehlpaarungen mit S. fusca.
