     (from Boudot & al. 2009:213): The range of Sympetrum sinaiticum spreads from the Levant to North Africa and Spain. It was recently discovered at emerrgence in Marocco. In North Africa the reproductive activity of this species happens during winter, which is why it have been under-recorded as little fieldwork is done in this period.

Der Wüstenpfeil, Sympetrum sinaiticum Dumont 1977, ist in Nordafrika (Marokko, südlich Hohem Atlas Boudot & de Knijf 2012) bis zur Levante und in Spanien verbreitet. Corso & al. (2012) melden die Art von den südlichsten italienischen Inseln. Ostwärts erreicht die Art den Iran (Sadeghi & al. 2009)..
