(from Boudot & al. 2009:198): Pantela flavescens is a well-known circumtropical migrant, which is rare in North Africa and in the eastern Mediterranean. Within Europe records have been published from Montenegro, northeastern Greece and the European part of Turkey. The species has been mentioned from France and Spain, which is most likely based on a misinterpretation.
Die Wanderlibelle, Pantala flavescens (Fabricius 1798), ist eine der erfolgreichsten Libellen, sie kommt in allen tropischen Ländern rund um den Erdball (südliches Nordamerika, Südamerika, tropisches Afrika, Südosteuropa, Arabien (Feulner & al. 2007), Kirgisistan (Schröter 2010), Südasien nordöstlich bis Kamtschatka, Australien) vor. Kipping (2006) berichtet von Funden in Bananenlieferungen aus Equador.
Weibchen aus dem Nylsvley-Naturpark, Süd-Afrika.
Die Pazifikinseln widmen der Art eine Marke.
