(from Boudot & al. 2009:217): it is a widespread and common Afrotropical species, that has expanded its range in southwestern Europe rapidly in recent decades. It crossed the whole of the Iberian Peninsula from 1978 onwards and was found in southwestern France for the first time in 1994. It is now regularly recorded from the Garonne estuary to the Rhône delta. Also from Fuertoventura. Climate change seems to be the main driver of this expansion.
