(from Boudot & al. 2009:34): It is only in the last two decades that attention has been paid to the correct identification of Lestes parvidens and L. viridis.
(Taffedani & al. 2011:91): In Italia, paesi balcanici, Tracia, Turchia, medio oriente. Considerata a lungo una sottospecie di L. viridis; in Italia forse più diffusa di quanto si pensi. Riconoscibile dalla L. viridis solo al microscopio o con una buona lente di ingrandimento. Sembra preferire ambienti acquatici salmastri.

Die Östliche Weidenjungfer, Chalcolestes parvidens Artobolevski 1929, kommt auf Korsika, Sizilien, und Festland-Italien bis Kleinasien, nordöstlich bis in die Ukraine vor. Der Unterschied zu Chalcolestes viridis ist in Jovic & al. (2009) sehr gut dargestellt.
