Kleine Pechlibelle

     (from Boudot & al. 2009:70): Ischnura pumilio was found for the first time in Sardinia by M. Pavesi in 1979, but this record was overlooked in the recent overall Italian database. In 2008, it was recorded again from the northern part of this island. Old records from Iraq pertain in fact to I. evansi.

Die Kleine Pechlibelle, Ischnura pumilio (Charpentier 1825), lebt an flachen, stehenden und vegetationsarmen Gewässern; sie gehört zu den Erstbesiedlern, ist aber nirgends häufig. Das neunte Hinterleibssegment ist blau gefärbt, dadurch unterscheidet sich die Art von der Grossen Pechlibelle. Die Art fehlt in Nordeuropa, hingegen kommt sie von den Azoren, Nordafrika bis nach Sibirien vor. Von Schröter (2010) auch aus Kirgisistan gemeldet. Die Art reagiert rasch auf Veränderungen im Biotop, etwa Verbuschung der Ufer oder Ähnlichem.
